I am currently only accepting clients who are veterans with substance abuse issues but please feel free to contact me for referrals. Click here to download a flyer for the relapse prevention group I am forming.
I graduated from St. Edward's University with a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.A. in Counseling with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling. In addition, I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Acudetox Specialist. For more information about the NADA Acudetox Protocol please click here for a pdf download. I am in the process of forming Acudetox groups. If you feel that you would benefit from Acudetox, please contact me with questions or to sign up for a group.
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, integrative, pragmatic and client-based. I believe that a therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one in which my clients and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insight to help them learn new way to cope with challenges and struggles.
I have experience counseling adults, families and couples coping with grief, trauma, addiction, existentialism, LGBTQ concerns, sexuality and recovery. I look forward to explore these areas and more with clients.
My work draws its influence from the counseling theories and styles of Carl Rogers, Virginia Satir and Murray Bowen.
